The complex sea, this week’s photo challenge, cannot be captured in one image or a dozen, nor 12,000 words if a picture is worth a thousand words. Here, I present nine images, all but one from along the Mediterranean coast of Israel. The first photo is from Croatia, along the Dalmatian coastline. You can view technical details of the photos by rolling your mouse cursor over the image (does not work on mobile devices).
This is the sea I: Romantic sea

Far below fortress walls
where a carved man
leans out into light,
the dark Dalmatian sea
wears away rocks…
Croatia

…while a young man pulls a net
taught along the Mediterranean
in order to catch what the sea dreams.
Israel
This is the sea II: Crashing waves

The bright delight of jeweled light…
Israel

…that might combine with a coming night…
Israel

…while empty boats rest in safe harbor before the storm.
Israel
This is the sea III: Sea life (and death)

Clear-water repose of the rainbow-jointed crab…
Israel

…as one hangs on in a swirling green sea-forest…
Israel

…and another raises its wide-clawed defense…
Israel

…while the unfortunate sea turtle dried out on the hot sand.
Israel

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend who had been doing a little research on this.
And he in fact bought me lunch simply because I discovered it for him…
lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!!
But yeah, thanks for spending time to discuss this matter here on your internet site.
